The literacy census of 2011 has proved the literacy rate in Madhya Pradesh is 70.60% with male literacy at a figure more than 76% in comparison to female at more than 50%. However the major achievement of the state is the active participation of the Muslim women in Madhya Pradesh which is 60.1% greater than all other North Indian states.
