Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria for admission in any of the IIT are almost same. The student needs to apply for Joint Entrance Examination for undergraduate programs whereas there is GATE and JAM exams for Postgraduate and MS programs and JMET for Management programs followed by group discussion and personal interviews. According to merit and high scores in these exams admission is granted. It may be noted that these exams are one of the toughest exams of the country.

The placement record IIT Madras is equally good as applicable for other IIT centers.
